Żywiec Porter beer owes its intense colour and distinctive taste to four types of malt. In 1881, the first barrels of Porter left the Archduke Brewery in Żywiec. Its recipe is the work of masters from the Żywiec Brewing School, who worked in the brewhouse of the Archduke Brewery in Żywiec. It owes its deep and rich flavour to four specially selected malts and the fidelity of more than 140 years of generations of brewers. The brand’s icon, the so-called dancing couple, is one of the most recognisable and at the same time the most valuable trademarks on the Polish market; it is also the best known Polish beer abroad. The dancing couple refers to the pre-war tradition of placing folklore elements on Polish trademarks and in advertisements for the Archduke Brewery in Żywiec. Żywiec has been a patron of culture for years. It sponsors a number of artistic endeavours, including one of the most popular and recognised music events in Poland – the Męskie Granie concert tour.
